My 16 year old son ordered items recently, that were delivered to a wrong address, by the infamous YODEL. Claims by SD that the items were signed for by a fictitious neighbour, that being at the other end of the close, followed by "it's out of our hands" yodels bile! Many phone calls later, at our expense and the rudeness by a certain staff member of SD, we signed a disclaimer form to claim money owed. Two weeks later and over a month in total, a knock on the door and our parcel had turned up with some sheepishly looking chap mumbling about wrong address. Too gobsmacked to say too much, I nodded took it and shut the door. NO apology from no-one, no compensation offered for losses incured and never again will we shop with SPORTS DIRECT. Further more I will always scrutinise in the future who online shops use for delivery.

I purchased some trainers from their store but found one trainer too tight on the sides so I took them back "unused" and asked for the next size up, unfortunately they were out of stock and only available online. I asked the store for a cash refund (as I paid cash) but they said they DO NOT give cash back and only a Gift Card that I can ONLY use instore (not online). I asked the store if they could order me in some trainers from their website but they said they cannot do that. I asked if they could check the stock of other local stores on the computer, they said they can't do that either as they are not networked together! I am now stuck with a Gift Card that is useless to me and I can not afford to pay more cash ordering again online. I sent an email to SportsDirect customer service and to their CEO (Dave Forsey), none have bothered to reply. Overall an appauling service from SportsDirect.

SportsDirect is the worst sports shop i have ever been to. The customer service was dismal, the staff were inexperienced and the store was dark and depressing. I went there a few days ago to buy a pair of football boots for my son's birthday. I walked in and saw a complete mass of clothes all squeezed on rails, looked like a stock room. Could just about push my small pram through there, how on earth could a person in a wheelchair get in there?!. Took 10 minutes to find a member of staff to tell me where the boots were(basement), another 10 minutes to find the lift (was misdirected and ended up having to circle around the whole ground floor again!)and another 10 minutes to find anyone in the basement to help me. I'm not an expert on football boots, i knew what type of pitch he played on and trusted that i would get the best advice. Got home, showed my husband and dad first and they came up with the same answer - they're the wrong ones!. Next day, went back for a refund and told that they now only offer exchanges or gift vouchers. First time i was told this! The manager came and finger pointed at the company's latest new policy on returns and exchanges (which now only applies in store not online), printed on a small scrappy piece of paper and sellotaped on the desk! She looked confused as to why i had not seen it before? maybe it was because it was so small even a pair of socks would have covered it, never mind a shoe box! or maybe the lady didn't explain or finger point at it before i handed over my card?! A simple clear sign up on the wall behind the desk, like most shops, would have got my attention and made me fully aware of the company's new policy before i bought the boots. Will never go there again, it was a complete joke.

I ordered some jackests from this site and was very happy with them, but everytime since then it seems to say error on site and i dont seem to be the only person having problems. Disappointed that i cant buy anything else :(

Great for bargins! But don't expect good customer serivce!! Staff are poorly trained in the shops and offer poor advice.
