Easy order process, decent delivery times, no problems. Until the item arrived, with a very obvious flaw defect on the front middle. Contacted customer services, who requested the item be sent back, tracked at my own expense (which would be refunded at a later date) presumably in the oversized packing box it arrived in. When it was explained that I was short of time (a special gift for an important birthday) and could not manage multiple trips to the post office, the suggestion was I could purchase a new item, and sent the faulty item back at my leisure. A new item could not be sent until the faulty one was back in their office OR a tracking number was provided. An offer of 15% discount was made to keep the item. In the end I gave up, made it too difficult to get a resolve. In summary, 6 emails and a few hours of my time, for a £15 hat. Essentially if the person who picked and despatched this item had bothered to check before posting, I would not have had the hassle and problem to deal. Their mistake, my problem to deal with. With hats in value up to a few hundred pounds or more, I'm just thankful it wasn't a costlier mistake I made using hatsandcaps.co.uk. In the end I'm stuck with an item, they have made their money and palmed me off. Would I trust them to refund my postage? probably not without hassle. would I use them again? no. would I recommend them? no.
