Street-wise hooker Vivian (Julia Roberts) struggles to make a living from the profession that she never once dreamed of being when she was little. One night, when times are hitting hard, Vivian manages to attract good looking, extremely rich, Edward (Richard Gere). A simple stop for directions escalates into a night of passion, where Edward then realizes how much he loves her company. As a result, he invites her to spend the entire week with him. Although there are ups and downs, the pair soon fall in love but find out that a rich business man having a hooker as a partner can bring trouble.
LOVE this film to bits. Cannot fault either Roberts or Gere on their acting - they were made for these roles. An older film that even younger people love today. Hilarious yet powerful.
Its so cheap, how can you not buy it?!

Fairly poor girly flick with that cinderella feel but when examined closely its really just the story of a very rich guy who gets sucked in by a prostitute. Not exactly believable.
