Amazon acts as secure example for budding e-commerce firm

An up and coming e-commerce company is looking to major online retailer Amazon as a good example of how providing safe shopping online can help build and maintain a reputation as a secure place to make purchases.

Electronics retailer Mixwall is hoping that following the examples set by Amazon will allow it to develop its own presence in the busy e-commerce market and ideally create a relationship of trust with its users.

Company spokesperson, Rachael Hayes, said that Mixwall's ultimate goal is to position itself as the UK's second most secure e-commerce site just behind Amazon.

While security will be important when taking customer payments, Mixwall is also triple checking all items before they are sent for delivery so that customers are never disappointed by a product which does not match the specifications or high standard which they will expect.

Hayes said that users can quickly be put off shopping with a particular firm if there is a problem with their first order, so Mixwall is committed to minimising the chances of an order being incorrectly executed.

Another layer of protection for customers is being added in the form of a 30 day money back guarantee to give them peace of mind when they enjoy safe shopping online.

There is no denying the ambition of this growing e-commerce firm, because filling Amazon's shoes is not exactly an easy task. Around 20 per cent of all online transactions in the UK are made via Amazon and while it has experienced its share of ups and downs, it is still seen as a trustworthy, secure site which can handle huge numbers of orders with ease.

Mixwall is taking on Amazon at its own game in more ways than one, since it deals largely with consumer electronics which are well represented on Amazon's site.
